Some say cat’s are not loyal, these people have never seen Tom.
On my 1st night back he followed me around everywhere and he would not stop talking
Meow Meow Meow Meow, Meow Meow Meow Meow, Meow! Meow? Meow@#$ Meowwwww Meow Meow Meow Meow Meow
Which translates to – feed me, pat me, look at my tail, did you see any birds for me to hunt, I was sitting on the gate every day looking for you, and did you see jerry –I have been looking for him a lot. this entire week he refuses to go away and sits on me all the time- not that I mind- on the contrary, but the cat on the sofa is a bother to some. but I like this huge cat cuddling on me.
The previous night Tom was left outside at night as always-but he would not hear of it (though he has cats hearing which is excellent).
He jumped on the 1st floor balcony and Meowed a lot and triggered the alarmed, which woke my mom up. Than my brother came- so he went to the door to meow some more- till they gave up and opened the door. My door was closed, and my brother took Tom to his room. That was not enough- he kept making a noise till he put it out on his porch (2nd floor)- from there he climb to the roof and down to my porch- just like a cat burglar, and came in through there, sat on my blanket and went to sleep. I missed him too.
My cow dog (named honey) has become a scardy cat- - she is a medium sized dog (but wide from overfeeding)- I have always been generally accused of over feeding the pets- now that I am away- they have grown- so I have been falselessly accused!- but the dog will stay on the street and not approach- If I come forward to see why- I will find a cat sitting under a car nearby (usually Tom, but not just him)- and she looks at it with scared eyes- I blame global warming, and intelligent design – species changes, and my pets are proof of it- Darwin day is this weekend- and it is sad to see people using scientific terms to justify a statement which has nothing to back it up but faith. Not even god can design such an imbecile plan to keep people stupid.
I came back from a day trip and a pastrami sandwich was left in my bag, I went to take a shower and when I got out – tom has completed his mission of opening the bag, taking the sandwich out of his nylon bag, open it up and eat only the pastrami.
I was burned yesterday in the hot sun- such a good feeling- the sun is a big lamp post in Cleveland winter. We walked in a new route for me- zipory vadi- the entire area is green as if there is no drought and lots and lots of flowers of all kinds- I have lots of close up.
Including the rare honey mustard flower, this flower is so rare, and no one is aware of it- a new species – which is a combination of the yellow mustard flower, with a bee on it- for Darwin day – I feel it is appropriate to nominate it for the official blog flower- with a proper name
The common HoneyBMustardious Darvinia – photo to come soon to a zoom near you.
We have seen some wild life- a very wild water turtle laying on a rock, several lizards (hardon), a dragon fly and a Lutra.
It’s a problem here being a week and wanting to do everything, meet every one and eat everything… so I had places I didn’t go, people I didn’t meet, and food uneaten – I have long before learn that I can get everywhere in a trip- or if I could- I would not enjoy every point- no point in just dropping in to say high- so I spent more time in less place- for those I missed- I apologies , next time…. December……
Thursday was the big day and the reason I came this week- my grandma 90th birthday
We went to the kotel, where my grandma prayed and placed a private note from Alla. My grandma being a very believing Jewish person, but not Hasidic (praise the lord) thinks that faith comes from within and not from empty rituals- my grandma was in tears when I asked her to place a note for alla. she never cries, the fact that Alla has true faith got to her.
Something happened this week- I am close with my grandma- and when I speak with her on the phone she sound week, or normal in the last years- but her mind is as sharp as always- but this week, with the birthday party, the kotel, the note, he child hood friend and everything around it- she is strong again- strong in body, and happy (announced the 1st 90 years are over- now it is time to start the next 90 years). So feeling strong she shared some stories of darker times that are worthy to another entry- or more so to a book of their own.
So after the kotel prays we walked in the main street of old Jerusalem for a while- got some gifts and were treated like tourist.
Over 20 years ago I entered a store in the old city, got out, saw no one and started looking- and was alone in the old city for over an hour- I think I wrote on this before- so now I stop somewhere to free myself of holy liquids and ask them to stop somewhere. Get there and they are not there, I find them quickly but flashback of my previous adventure quickly returns. But something did get lost- my mom’s car, house, etc keys- close to an hour of searching and placing a useless report at the local police. Until they were found in one of the check points.
From there we went to Abu gosh for some humus- I usually don’t really care for their Humus , but it was good this time, and enjoyed some god seniya.
The restaurant surprised my grand ma, with placing a balloon on her head shaped round like a crown and decorating an egg plant- with a carrot noise, pepper mouth, something for eyes and fire crackers for ears- a very nice touch- my shocked grandma was very pleased from the attention , and I found that egg plant actually has benefits(don’t get me wrong, I still don’t think it is edible)
The trip north was organized, with a tour bus- they are used to travelers with bag, but not to people coming on with lap tops – since this is a trip, but time is short and a school assignment has to be finished- so the hour plus drive till the walking part begins is a perfect time to finish it.
I toured the generous plateau(ramat hanadiv) with my dad- like we usually do- he goes out to pre study for his upcoming trips and I enjoy the views
Both trips share similar shades of green and similar flora – but the dad trip I stop on any tiny speck I see , and ask – what is this, what is that- and zoom in on every flower, and in 2 hours we barely cover a mile and a half- the 2nd trip, with the big group- we walk more- so less time to zoom in of flora- but still very enjoyable- but I have lots of pictures from both, bee prepared for a national geographic mail.
The election is over- upsetting result- but the people have spoken, hoping there is intelligent design behind all this…
Since both my visit were on elections (this one was booked a year ago, so no, I didn’t come for the election, they knew I was coming and changed the election day)- so to whomever is the new government – sorry, you only have 10 months and change till my next visit.
On the plane back at the moment- so good to have an empty plane- 3 seats all for me, and got a glimpse of views from above- and a photo- and quickly went to check my position- why did it had to be turkey? A beautiful country filled with chickens and turkeys.
Is ‘anafat bakar’ a bird or an animal?
See you on the other side…
p.s – once again I had the movie ‘America history X’ in my possession and didn’t see it- Amit, it is waiting for you at my house
